Mission

Our mission in life is to share God’s Love and to give back a little of our abundance to those who are in need. To give is to be grateful for the blessings we live in. Our organization believes that we all need to belong to a charity or a community where we can share our gifts, talents, and blessings. If not, we can be our own community by giving a little each and every day of our lives to those who are in need. Examples include:

  • Supporting our Veterans
  • Feeding the hungry
  • Clothing the naked
  • Providing clean water
  • Providing medication
  • Visiting the sick; and
  • Helping families thrive

Love, food, and shelter are in need.

Vision

Our vision is a society in which every person enjoys all of the human rights and where everyone becomes self-sufficient, productive members.

Biblical Definition

The Bible shares in Matthew 25: 35 (KJV) “For I was hungry and you fed me; I was thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was a stranger and you welcomed me with open arms; I was in prison and you came unto me.”

Individual Definition

The Individual Definition of “in need” as illustrated in Maslow’s Hierarchy of NeedsTheory is as follows:

We can’t as an individual “Give All to All” to those who are in need. We can’t feed every mouth, take in every homeless, or visit every sick man, woman, or child. However, we can join hands and hearts with those who are giving what they can. Money is not the only way we can support and provide for others; every effort counts and creates the most powerful impact on others.

When we give someone a gift, it’s a sign of either appreciation or obligation. Most of the time, it’s a gesture of appreciation, and usually, it’s a way of saying thank you for something nice they did or we care for them and it’s a special occasion. When we give someone something, two things happen: we make someone happy, and this action also says something about us. We are looked at as considerate, thoughtful, generous, and appreciative people.

Generosity brings prosperity, and giving is receiving. The times you think you’re blessing others, it’s really you who is being blessed.

A Moral Story

Here is a story. Once upon a time, a woman and her dog were parking at the bank parking lot. The woman noticed an old homeless man sitting on the side of the bank building. As she got out, her dog ran to the homeless man and started licking him.

The woman was so happy that her dog showed unconditional love to the homeless man, and as she looked at her dog, licking and jumping on the little old man, she realized that her dog cared less that he was dirty, smelly, and troubled. All it cared about was licking his face and giving him love. This made the man smile, and he started to pet the dog; they then had a moment.

At that moment, the woman’s heart was touched and inspired to give that same kind of love from a human to another human. She introduced herself, chatted with him, listened to his story, and got to know him a bit.

He is a 69-year-old veteran who has been homeless for over 12 years. He sleeps wherever he can lay his head for the night. He eats whenever someone brings him food. He hadn’t taken a shower for weeks. He was hungry, thirsty, and dirty.
